In observance of World AIDS Day, this collaborative webinar presented by ANAC and SAGE strives to empower healthcare providers to champion age-inclusive HIV testing and bolster sexual health initiatives for older adults. The session will comprehensively evaluate the current CDC HIV testing guidelines, illuminating the constraints of age-based restrictions, and emphasizing the imperative to remove the current upper age limit. Attendees will gain insights into the detrimental effects of delayed HIV detection among older adults, highlighting the necessity for campaigns tailored to enhance their sexual health. Lastly, presenters will offer practical guidance and advocacy strategies, enabling participants to proactively influence policy and prioritize healthcare accessibility for older adults, fostering a more inclusive and equitable approach to HIV prevention and sexual health.
