Excellence in Global HIV Nursing Award

This award is given every two years to honor an outstanding nurse living and working in a low or lower middle income country (per World Bank designation) who is doing exceptional work in promoting HIV nursing and supporting persons living with and affected by HIV.The recipient of this award must meet the following criteria.

• A licensed, practicing LPN or RN (Registered Nurse, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurse Midwife or RN equivalent in international countries)
• An active member of ANAC
• A role model in the global HIV community, who is innovative, creative and inspiring
• Highly competent and motivated; strives to significantly improve the quality of care provided to people with HIV

This award will be bestowed at the annual ANAC conference in November in Washington, D.C. Assistance with travel and lodging for the award winner can be provided by ANAC.

Before making your nomination, please carefully review the application overview sheet. It contains additional information about the criteria for the award, tips for filling out the form and a sample of the evaluation tool used by the committee to determine the winner.
